Additional information.
For the uninitiated with a press release of AAEPO, a statement of facts about what education organizations have undergone an independent accreditation  make little sense. However, for those who engaged in the field of education and interested in issues of higher and secondary education, including the quality of education in the country, these stingy lines of the press release show that the market of accreditation services has already been formed, the accreditation system works and develops.
At the same time, the sphere of education draws almost every family into its orbit, which means that everyone should be interested in what is happening in this sphere. This is all the more important when you consider that one of the criteria for the quality of education is the participation of parents, students, social partners and employers in the management of education. It follows that simply everyone is obliged to take part in improving the quality of education or, at least, not be indifferent to what kind of education students receive in universities and colleges.
The mission of AAEPO is also to improve the quality of education through independent accreditation of educational institutions and their programs. How does this happen? Thus, the above-mentioned 4 educational organizations were accredited for 5 years by the decision of the Accreditation Board of the Agency for Accreditation of educational programs and organizations.
But what preceded this significant event for these institutions? On their example we will tell about the procedure of independent accreditation of educational institutions. So, these educational institutions, a few months earlier filed an application for accreditation, which was considered by the Agency and then contracts were concluded with them. According to these contracts, these institutions prepared self-assessment reports based on the standards, which reflected the mission of educational institutions, described the management, the technologies used in teaching, material and technical base, the participation of employers in the educational process, etc.
In order to prepare this report, the educational institutions formed teams, and the AAEPO held training seminars for them, provided guidelines for writing reports. The teams sent self-assessment reports to the AAEPO, where the Agency's referents conducted an examination and submitted their comments to correct the shortcomings. From the first time usually no educational institution presents a good report. Therefore, the first stage of accreditation is the most difficult and important, it is the hard work of teachers, staff, management to restore order in their educational institution.
The next stage of accreditation is an external evaluation, during which the AAEPO team of experts visits the University. They conduct an objective assessment, check the reliability of the report, note the positive aspects and always tell you what you need to pay attention to, as well as formulate recommendations to improve the quality of education.
The main task of the expert to check the documents to confirm the authenticity of the report, and to hear it directly from people working in the University or College, and from interests. Therefore, interviews with teachers, students and employees are required. Another equally important task is to provide experts with recommendations to improve the quality of education. The implementation of the recommendation is reviewed by the AAEPO annually.
The expert group prepares an external evaluation report on the basis of which the Agency's Accreditation Council makes one of three decisions: full accreditation for a period of five years, conditional accreditation for a period of one year with the requirement to correct the identified shortcomings and a verdict on the refusal of accreditation.
Members of the accreditation Board work on a voluntary basis and represent the state, the economic sector and civil society in equal proportions.
Among the changes taking place in Universities and Colleges in the process of accreditation according to the expert community is a significant improvement of the material and technical base, improvement of educational and methodological equipment, strengthening ties with employers, social partners and graduates and other positive changes.
One of the first accredited institutions are the best ones that intend to further improve their position in the educational market, as having passed it, have the opportunity to develop and improve their activities.
